The Social Pedagogy Association strives to be an inclusive organization that believes in the importance of the free flow of ideas and scholars for the advancement of research, theory and educational practices. The Social Pedagogy Association encourages scholarly interaction, collaboration, and debate among academics and practitioners from diverse intellectual perspectives and countries of origin.
Concerned with recent policies that restrict travel to the USA and the high level of uncertainty about similar policies that could be enacted in the next months, and in the interest of having an open, globally-connected forum that brings together associations and institutions from around the world, the organizing committee of the International Conference Social Pedagogy and Social Education: Bridging traditions and innovations has decided to transfer the location of the conference to the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (México).
The organizing committee of the Social Pedagogy Association appreciates the solidarity and excellent disposition of the Red Mexicana de Pedagogía Social and the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla for rising to the occasion and for their willingness to host this international conference. The dates of the conference remain the same: February 22-24, 2018.
